1. Gaulding Cay Beach

Visit Gaulding Cay Beach. It’s easily accessible and waters are crystal-clear. Plus, snorkeling is amazing here, especially around the little island offshore.

2. Harbour Island

Don’t miss Harbour Island. You’ll immediately feel the luxury here. Opulent yachts on the marina, luxury resorts, extravagant house rentals. To access the island, take a short 5-minute boat ride from the Three Island Dock in North Eleuthera.

TIP: Book a golf cart to explore the island. I also explored Harbour Island on a golf cart. I loved it – I found it so convenient and fun!

3. Eleuthera Pink Sand Beach

Going to Eleuthera and missing a pink sand beach? You’ll miss part of the experience! To get to my favourite pink sand beach, take a boat to Harbour Island. You’ll find the popular pink sand beach.

4. Ten Bay Beach

Next up: Ten Bay Beach. The beach feels secluded and you can find sea stars here.

5. Glass Window Bridge Eleuthera

Perhaps the most well-known attraction on Eleuthera! The Glass Window Bridge offers a beautiful contrast between the dark Atlantic Ocean and the turquoise Caribbean Sea. I found it very impressive. A must-see!

6. Eleuthera Island Farm

Visit the popular Eleuthera Island Farm for a true Bahamian experience. It’s unique and you can learn more about how Bahamians grow the famous Eleuthera pineapples!

7. Spanish Wells Eleuthera

Explore Spanish Wells, a picturesque fishing village just offshore of North Eleuthera. I personally visited Spanish Wells aboard one of my favourite boat tours.

8. Gregory Town Eleuthera

Make a quick stop in Gregory Town. There’s nothing special about this little Eleuthera village. However, you’ll find plenty of handy stops here, from fuel stations and grocery stops to gift shops, ideal to buy a little souvenir.

Of course! If you’re like me, you’ll probably want to bring a beautiful souvenir that will remind you of your trip to Eleuthera island. I’ve got you covered. Consider stopping by Island Made Gift Shop or Norma’s Gift Shop.

10. Tippy’s Restaurant Eleuthera

Eat at Tippy’s Eleuthera! This restaurant is tucked away right on the beach, making it perfect for a delicious Bahamian lunch with a view in Eleuthera. I haven’t personally eaten at the restaurant. However, I’ve heard great comments about the food here. You’ll love the views too.

11. Swim with Stingrays

Spend the day swimming with stingrays! This unforgettable experience is available on North Eleuthera through a boat tour.

This Eleuthera boat tour rewards you with the most spectacular experience. Swimming with stingrays (they’re the biggest I’ve seen so far!). As you swim with these beautiful stingrays, you really feel as if you’re living a bucket list moment. I loved it!

12. Harbour Island Golf Cart Rental

Rent a golf cart for a unique and convenient experience  Harbour Island. You’ll love the experience. It was my first time renting a golf cart and seeing everyone else drive one makes the whole experience extra special! Plus, it’s easy to get around. You’ll explore the island at your own pace. I had so much fun!

13. French Leave Beach Eleuthera

French Leave Beach is wide and tropical. To access the beach, look for the sea walk beach access. I found this to be the most convenient way to get there.

14. Current Eleuthera

Explore the beautiful beaches tucked away in the Current, located on North Eleuthera. You’ll love the turquoise waters and wide shore. It’s off the beaten path, so you might end up with the beach all to yourself.

15. Eleuthera snorkeling

My two favourite snorkeling spots in Eleuthera: Gaulding Cay Beach on the main island and the unforgettable offshore stops on the North Eleuthera Tour.

I spotted a few stingrays while snorkeling at Gaulding Cay Beach. That moment was awesome! Offshore Eleuthera, I also found plenty of opportunities for snorkeling with turtles, stingrays and little fish. However, you’ll need to do the North Eleuthera tour.

16. Swim with Turtles

You’ll love swimming with turtles just offshore of Eleuthera. You’ll need to do the North Eleuthera tour for this experience. I felt so happy swimming with turtles (I cannot recommend it enough!). The turtles were the biggest I’ve ever seen. I’ll never forget that.

17. Lighthouse Beach Eleuthera

In case you’re in South Eleuthera, I highly recommend the Lighthouse Beach. When I visited the beach, the ocean was agitated. However, you’ll see the turquoise waters shine if the ocean is calm. 

18. Surfers Beach Eleuthera

Are you a surfing enthusiast? You might want to add Surfers Beach to your list, the often called ‘Hawaii of the Bahamas’. Here, you’ll encounter no crowds and turquoise waters.

Tip: The beach access is not great. You’ll find deep holes scattered along the unpaved road. I recommend you use a SUV for more comfort.

19. Queens Bath Eleuthera

Next up: Queens Bath, a natural pool in Eleuthera. When you arrive, you’ll see the Queens Bath signal. Follow the trail until you reach the first rocks. From there, walk carefully – the terrain is rugged and you’ll need to be careful. Soon, you’ll admire the waves crashing into the rocks creating multiple natural turquoise pools. I’ve been there myself, and it’s a completely different plan from a usual beach day.

20. Eleuthera pigs

To meet the swimming pigs, do the North Eleuthera tour. They’re a popular thing to do and quite a funny one. You’ll see the pigs swimming and they’re quite friendly!

Best restaurants in Eleuthera, Bahamas

There are plenty of Eleuthera restaurants to choose from. You can opt for fine dining with a view or eat traditional Bahamian food right on the beach. There’s a big emphasis on conch here, which I love!

How to visit Eleuthera

Eleuthera is one of the most visited islands in the Bahamas. You’ll find three airports scattered along the island. Because of this, you’ll have plenty of transfer options from the airport to your final destination.

You can fly directly to Eleuthera from Miami, New York or other big major American cities. Alternatively, you can fly from Nassau or Canada.

Getting Around in Eleuthera

Eleuthera is a big island in the Bahamas. Exploring it from south to north will require that you rent a car. I personally rented a car and found it to be the best option to get around. It’s convenient and enabled me to explore even secret locations!
